A troll attempts to disrupt a point of view. That can involve stalking.
You are correct though true stalking is often confused with trolling. Just not necessarily because of a point of view.
I use to be a troll BTW decades ago. And I trolled with the best disruptive trolls. I know very well what trolls do to disrupt anyone's point of view.
Trolling can and is often be used to disrupt others free speech. Even by flooding with their own opinions.
That was a frequent technique used by trolls. So that only their views were heard.
It's also why I don't post on anyone topic frequently. Also why I have certain groups muted.
