Which Premiership team has had the best transfer window?

adorbz · 26-30, F
we kept kane 🥺

@Burnley123 I've not really followed the entire transfer season in the premier league, or arsenal at all for that matter. So I have no idea 🤷‍♂️. But they got pawned today. And the canaries won. Huray 🐣: 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses. And we haven't played any of the big teams in our competition yet.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Kwek00 I guess it's like Burnley on a smaller scale. If you beat the teams around you, then its OK. You will struggle against Club Brugge like we struggle against Liverpool.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Burnley123 Yeah, well, we are fucking up that plan too. As I said, we haven't played the biggest teams yet.

I think the top four in the Prem is ridiculously strong. Only Bayern and PSG are as good in Europe.

Everyone else is fighting for fifth, with Spurs and Leicester the best other teams.

Utd sign Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo but I still don't think they will be top two.

@Burnley123 You are too kind. They will have to sack Edu as well - and that’s before they get to the players.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@MartinII I think Edu is not that good but he is more of a symptom. Your club basically laid off its previous scouting network and 'saved money' by using preferred agents.

The old model employed a lot of scouts but that can work. They had a data driven model too (I'm a fan of such things) but never gave it the chance. Brentford and Liverpool get great value in the transfer market.

Seriously, there is still talent there. No way good enough talent for Arsenal but enough talent that its top half if averagely managed.

@Burnley123 Yes I agree. I had tolerated Arteta until I saw yesterday’s line-up. The most lightweight forward line you can imagine and a back five including four fullbacks while the best wingback at the club, Maitland-Niles, was on the bench. And a defensive midfield of one, rapidly reduced to none!

No idea
But Arsenal is going down right now! Down to the ground!
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Kwek00 I don't think they will go down but they are pretty damn bad. Mid table is probably the best they can hope for and this is the fifth richest club in the league.

I think Arteta will be out by Christmas.

@Burnley123 I was only talking about "right now" , which was 2 days ago.

{@burnley123] not liverpool i see united have got one of there rejects back
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Burnley123 i think so i say to my mate who is a liverpool fan too the won the premiership title with the team there more or less still have . when you have the glaziers abramovich and the arab owners of city what chance of clubs like yours and teams promoted really have . mind you leicester did it against the odds
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@smiler2012 Yes and in this sense Liverpool are a relatively small club. One of the ten best supported clubs in Europe but...

Burnley fans are worried because we have a small and aging squad. Even teams like Brighton and Palace have a bigger budget than us.

Its a great league but so much is distorted by the rich owners. Leicester are actually really doing well but the top four are all too strong for them.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Burnley123 would not say that they did it against the odds once . even as a liverpool fan i would love to see them win it before city united or chelsea
Viper · M
I don't even know what a transfer window is, except the one at the bank!
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Viper Clubs are allowed to sign new players in the June August window (new season) or the January window (mid season).

@Burnley123 it taught me to learn soccer terms lol

@basilfawlty89 I hated football at Primary School at I literally did get into it so I could make freinds. Now I'm a geek for it. It's my main nerd passion apart from politics.
