@SW-User @SammyJo The thing I like about Southgate is that he has a plan and picks the players to execute that plan.

I remember all those times when Hodgson, Erikkson, and McClaren just picked the biggest name players and hoped it would work out. Lampard and Gerrard were played together in midfield time and time again but it was never successful.

@Elessar So far I'm moderately pleased. Not a dominant attacking performance but Croatia is a decent team.

@Burnley123 They need Mandzukic to be as effective/complete as in 2018, I guess.

Still not bad. I enjoyed the game overall. England had something more.

@Burnley123 Because of Southgate, his selection is terrible. Pickford cannot start ahead of Henderson and he's started a Leeds CM ahead of Jordan Henderson... And Trippier ahead of Luke Shaw...
