How bad is the new name for the Washington Redskins - Commanders?

I cant think of a worse name. For the life of me, I cant figure why the team didnt make it a huge PR campaign where they let fans submit their choices for the new name. That Washington Redskins organization has been bad for a long time so I guess that goes for the marketing and PR department.

Funny how anything ethnic is being cleansed from the public eye. Aunt Jemima, the Land O Lakes indian woman…have they gotten rid of Uncle Ben yet? I haven’t heard a peep about Wendy or Colonel Sanders being removed. I guess they’re OK cuz they’re white. Funny how racist that woke crowd is and how they get away with erasing anything and everything of color

Sounds like the name of a prophylactic.
That being said, i was put off from the redskin name too.
And i agree, the fans could have come up with something better.
