I dont get it with the homemade soaps.
Not trying to be rude but I just like something that makes me clean.

@LunarOrbit thankfully they do make you clean! The perk to real, traditional soap is that it leaves behind residual oils on the skin where most store bought soaps ( made up of detergents rather than soap) strip away the skins oils leaving your squeaky clean and dry.

@LunarOrbit these will still make you clean - you just get to control what goes in them so they’re minus all the chemicals and things that sensitive skin might not like. It’s a nice option and a satisfying skill I would think. It always feels good to make something useful.

Ooo… what do they smell like? I spot an oatmeal soap? But what are the others?

@nonsensiclesnail I edited to include the kinds. I used a beneficial essential oil blend. A bunch of different ones. I'd have to look to see what I used. Off the top of my head, there's lavender, patchouli, jasmine, geranium, i dont know a bunch of essential oils.

Wow. Have you ever thought about starting your own brand of hand soaps?

They look lovely. I am sure they will be appreciated by whoever uses them

@SW-User The castor oil helps to harden the bar somehow. All the recipes I have use castor oil in it.
