Single before a surgery..how can i ...

Kinda nervous to ask tgis question, but has anyone had a surgery where they were told its 50/50 ? They want me to understand that the procedure is 2 hrs, and observation is 2 hrs and i must have a driver to take me home. Its a same day surgery.
Risks involved..
Possible stroke or blood clot
Possible infections or non healing wounds
Possible blood leakage or uncontrolled blood loss
Possible loss or partial loss of bowel movements
Possible flatulence or uncontrollably farting
Exstreem gas, burning and pressure up to 3 months after surgery...hsppy new year to me right?

With any surgery there's always risks. They have to tell you what those risks are. If you went into surgery and they didn't say any risks, and then something funny happens that is a risk, you'd be madder than hell that they didn't tell you the risks. Personally, I'd rather not hear the risks, but it's just so that you know what to expect.

I had a tendonitis operation done, and I was told that my arm would be 80% after, but I haven't noticed anything different. As far as I'm concerned that arm is as good as new. I was just in a recent surgery for a relative. They took them back at 5:22am. By 10:30am we were allowed to go back to the recovery room, and then we left the hospital around 3:10pm.

So we were there for about 10 hours.
