For someone who's used to it, no, it's not bad. For someone who suddenly finds themselves single after a long spell of coupledom, it must seem thoroughly abnormal. But I like it sufficiently much not to try to change it.

No, being single is not bad. Less stress and less headaches. You don't have to worry about anyone cheating on you or putting their hands on you when they are upset. You don't have to worry about being heartbroken when your significant other decides to dump you to be with someone else. These are the reason why I prefer to be single.
Being single is great if all you ever do is get hurt by someone.
