Can you use an ebay gift card and use it with no hassles?

I remember ebay requiring a credit card or paypal to buy anything on ebay.

I know you need an account to buy, however can you simply just buy an ebay gift card from a store, without divulging credit card information and or paypal?

Has using an ebay gift card become an easy process, just like it has always been on amazon?

I don't want to buy an ebay gift card and find out they require my credit card info.

Ebay has lost tons of money in the past by not having a simple gift card transaction process for the consumer.

I have an account, I simply wish to buy an ebay gift card and use it without a hassle.
