Probably never quite median or mode (nor a la mode), and for sure have very rarely ever been mean.
I'm slightly gold due to the sun, but at my most golden when happy - that is, with friends, animals or in nature, or reading a book.
I worked with the golden mean for many years when I was a sculptor. I love the way that using those proportions creates a subtle shift in all the 3D points of view, leading the viewer around the work, a kind of seemingly unconsious mystery in the form - all because it relies on an infinite fraction: 1 to 1.618...
