Is it uncool to share your parents taste for music ? [I Am Weird]

my parents got tons of those old CDs and some of that stuff is really amazing.
Nirvana, PearlJam, Depeche Mode... old stuff but really good.

My kids love my old Rolling Stones and Beatles records.
@Elena05 STOP!!! Your killing me!!!!!! 😫😫😫😫

@Elena05 I have a granddaughter that had never seen a vinyl LP. I got one out and played it for her. She said, that’s cool but how do you play those in the car?

@Elena05 What would you say about Classical music? Lol
I grew up listening to my mom's music. Bands like the Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin. And i love it.

I listened to my father's too, which was old school country... Hank Williams Sr. And Patsy Cline. And i generally hate most of that stuff.

Not at all. I still listen to music that my parents listened to back in the 70's and 80's.

Not uncool at all
I sometimes go back to listen what I grew up with of what my dad listened to

Those are cool tastes right there. I share some too, like Stevie Ray Vaughn.

If a person is themselves they will like what they like in regards to music no matter what era that music comes from..

If they are pathetic conformist. Only looking for social acceptance from others.. Then they will feign liking anything they think their piers like..

Bowie told Eno “our work will never rust” just before he died.
Maybe it will.

You can't get better than Nirvava! Nothing comes close to Nevermind

It's not uncool at all. They probably like the music you share with them as well. My son introduces me to new music all the time.

Well firstly, thanks for making me feel old as I listen to some of those :P

But yeah, I do share my mother's love for Queen for example.

Of course not...music is not to please others...it has to please yourself first.
