The Epstein "Files"
So, let's say they tell us that they're releasing all of the files. They release the files. How do we know that it's all of the files? If there proves to be no smoking gun then people are going to say that it's bullsh*t anyway. What if there is redacted information, which is inevitable? Won't that just fuel the conspiracy theories even more?
I honestly don't see how anyone who wants these files out there will be satisfied unless they show that Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and Tom Hanks were regular guests at Epstein island and each of them feature in CCTV footage with a host of underage girls. The chances of such a thing being revealed are zero, even if any such thing existed in the first place. So is anyone going to be happy with what will inevitably be a damp squib?
At the end of the day, when you want something to be true and you're obsessed with it being true you will not accept anything less. I have no idea what they have, but I know enough to know that I'll never know the full truth so I have zero expectations. Better to just accept that some things will never be known, even if knowing simply means that there's nothing to know.
