I Want to Move Back to My Hometown

A little over a year ago I moved to Chicago from Missouri. My place of employment was slowing going out of business, they hadn't made a profit in 9 months so I was motivated to find a new job, and there weren't many in the area I was living so I found something in Chicago. My boyfriend at the time and I decided to end the relationship. However the months after I moved and started the new job I kept going back home every few weekends. Boyfriend and I decided to get engaged - he had a lot of personal issues going on and I wanted to get him on my health insurance. In January we got legally married (at our local gay bar). He moved up to Chicago to live with me in March. He was slowly getting sicker and started going to the doctor. In May he went to Florida to help his brother do some re-modeling. When he got back, he was doing much worse. He ended up dying of end stage liver failure soon there after. The last 2 months have been hard but have been getting better. I've hated my job for quite awhile, earlier this year my role changed and it has gotten a lot more toxic. I really want to move back home but am having trouble finding jobs that match my skillset and salary requirements. I miss my friends so much.
