@LunarOrbit I accept what you have said to an extent. However, defence can become violence as we have seen in the Judicial system where "defenders" have been jailed for using unreasonable force.
Always the safest self-defence is escape or avoidance by mis-direction, not any type of physical aggression.
None of us will know how skilled or desperate an attacker may be.
It is only in Hollywood that a normal person always overcomes an attacker by physical self-defence.
@Zeusdelight I agree. I think the law HAS to differentiate unreasonable force from defence to prevent people from using it as an escape goat to get away with murder. Thats why we have judges….and most times they figure it all out right. I would do anything to protect myself or my family. I’ll let the courts decide if its reasonable force after.
@LunarOrbit Yes, if there was no escape of way of misdirection, I would hope to at least delay the attacker so that my family could escape. I think I would need a very incompetent attacker though:)
