People without children could have other responsibilities that could somewhat exhaust them
I hear you say office workers. Engineers etc
You don't think others get stressed unless they have kids? Give the fuck over.
On your high horse a bit there.
Ikr? Just babysitting kids half a day drains all the life out of me 😅 word

Could be several reasons:

u don’t like ur job
chronic stress
depression

Childless bachelor here. These 40 hour work weeks and doing whatever I damn well please is exhausting. You don't like that? Eat a dick dad. Hahahahahaha! Now go tell your little ones to get to choring.

I don’t have kids. I did night shift for 15 years, I had no idea how tired I was in all those 15 years until I gave it up. Now if I have anything less than 7 hours of sleep I can’t cope.
@SW-User as a fellow night shifter I get that!!

@InOtterWords When you have your first, you become a mother. When you have your second, you become a referee!
@Harriet03 i never see you here anymore

Depends on the job, really
@Elessar I dunno man. Everyone I know is a tradesman’s be it electrician. Mechanic. Plumber. Heavy machine operator. A few office folks but even still meh.

It’s debatable I suppose on the persons health maybe 🤔🤷‍♂️

@Teggy I don't know, maybe it's subjective. I'm in the software field, by the time my shift is over my brain has the consistency of scrambled egg. If I get less than 5h of sleep per night I still function to some degree, but my performance wouldn't be anywhere close to being sufficient for meeting deadlines and keeping the job.

All the people I know who have kids and who aren't zombies have more practical/physical jobs, mental tiredness don't really leave much room for anything else. Then, sure, you can find the engineer who snorts cocaine once every 2 hours and manages work, friends, gym, kids, extramarital relationships and gets 4h of sleep per *week* just fine, but that's an outlier, definitely not the norm.

Mad respect to parents. I don't know how you guys do it.

I have a chronic health condition that makes me exhausted 24/7 no matter how much sleep I get. So yeah, I get very tired even though I don't have kids. Parents don't monopoloze the market on exhaustion.
