Okay ... I’m going to have a little moan.

As if it’s not enough isolation because of the pandemic, there has to be below freezing temperatures, and snow to keep me from just taking a walk. This will last to April. 😞 I hope I’m still sane by then. 😞 sigh!

Come on, girl. You can do this.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
I’d be happy to chat too, but I don’t have anything to chat about. Being alone 24/7/365 means I’m living a “groundhog day” every day. No new experiences for the last two-years ... like many people, I would say. Thank you, though. 🙏 @Nelladell

@Carissimi i thought u're housebound because of covid...u can still go out!
Carissimi · 70-79, F
I’m housebound because of the pandemic and the weather. If it was just the pandemic, I would go for walks, but not in this weather. @Wiseacre

As I drove on the snow covered roads this afternoon this played on the radio. Fits my mood perfectly![youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSfONJYIyGM]

@Carissimi Up to October I could at least escape into the woods for some solitude. Once hunting season commenced I lost that venue. There is more involved but that’s why I feel October was the start of cabin fever.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
Ah yes, now I understand. When does the hunting season end? @SageWanderer
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@Carissimi Pretty much the end of February so March it will be safe again. I could go out on Sunday until then but the spirit hasn’t moved me yet. Considering the gunshots I hear it seems to me that a few hunters are trying to offset the price of meat.

I can relate, similar situation here except it's so hot i can't take a walk.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
How long does the hot weather last there, and what month before you can walk outside again? @SW-User
SW-User
@Carissimi It can last 5 months but mostly there's about two months that are really bad. Often most of us get up early and go for a walk at 6am etc before the heat and sun get bad. By March it's the start of autumn so temperatures are warm but mild, and nice to be outside.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
Well, only another 6-weeks or so to go. Hang in there. @SW-User
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
I hope it goes away sooner for you. I cant stand it.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
I know. I’m just feeling fed up with it, but winters here can last through May, although hopefully, the temperatures will be above 32 F by April. @Eddiesolds

@Carissimi It warmed up here abit over the weekend. That helped me alot. It started snowing again this morning.Yhe freezing will be coming back soon. So gross! Lol
Carissimi · 70-79, F
I just checked your profile, and see you are further north than I am. This is hard enough, I don’t think I could survive a Canadian winter. @Eddiesolds

Hang in there dear🤗
How about yoga? Or any other indoor hobby ?
Carissimi · 70-79, F
I work out, (yoga included), read, and I started a language course. It’s the solitude, day in and day out. I enjoy my own company, but not 24/7/365. I get through it somehow. Just feeling it a lot right now. Walking outside is my only outside activity, and when I can’t do that, I feel hemmed in. @Niloo

You can do it.

Come down here to FLorida !! No snow !
Covid is never going away. It's going to constantly circulate like the flu

How long will you isolate in that case? This is not healthy
Wiseacre · F
