My previous post. [I Have Passion, But No Motivation]

I had written a lot more in my previous post, but when I posted it the first time, a big chunk of it had been erased. I had also added in there that I paint as well. Before my father passed away, I had started painting (hadn't painted since high school) to ease some of the depression and anxiety. Not too long after, I created my own website for it, which is still private (I pay for it until I have enough stuff built up on there)...but I'm slowly losing motivation for that because I see other beginning artist works that are so much better than mine, because they do those YouTube tutorials. Mine come from my head most of the time, but I have taken some of the YouTube tutorials, especially if I'm doing a tribute painting. It's okay work, but not as good. I'm wondering if I should take down some of the stuff I've got on there and replace it with something better.

Enjoy and restore yourself.
Self therapy in expression with your art and writing could be very healthy for you and help build up your motivation.

You deserve your intitial confidence.
It take experimentation and practice to know where your head is artistically.

@Pfuzylogic That rings true. Thank you.

I have written a Novel and not worried about publishing. I am doing this for myself but when the time is right, the time to share will come.
You should stop comparing your work with the works of others. You are you, not them.

Every artist has their own unique style. If you want someone to compete with, compete with yourself.

Keep creating--it can only do you good.

@uncalled4 Agreed. Creating is the only thing I'm happy doing.
