How does bad ego dissolve?

Like getting happy when people who are in relationships hit on you, revenge ... Does it have anything to do with age?

Seems like it sticks for most people, it’s a part of their set personality. Unless they get a serious wake-up call that humbles them and they think about things they will never change.

@cherokeepatti very sad. I get a wake up call to change my attitude often . I was wondering if everyone else was like this.

it thrives on attention, you need to try shadow work

@SW-User I'm doing it. Reaching a point where I could leave bed, apply to college, start new hobbies was tiring. Challenging myself to clean and open up emotionally is a hard quest. My mind is stuck at when people bullied me at school. Whenever I'm listening to a firey music i get so excited and start to think how much energy I've to screw these people up. I like to provoke them, belittle them, make them jealous, show them how shitty they're...

@Hassan good to hear, dont listen to the ppl who promote toxic positivity bc it's delusional, and the silver lining is you can channel rhe anger of your past to pursue the goals you mentioned but the catch it wont rlly make you happy till you practice detachment techniques or read books like Power of now by eckhart as your ego still identifies with past hurts

@SW-User Yes true, i still identify with it. Sometimes i say if it hadn't was for revenge i wouldn't have left bed. It was a good thing bcz it's mixed with self love habits. It lessened my anger and frustration, but it's still bad.
