Sungle mom seeking advice

Im a single mom with two kids. I dont have any support. I need help coming up with a plan to survive. Im currently living hotel to hotel. I cant afford child care. I just got custody of my daughter back. So i have little to hardly no income until i can receive ssi for my daughter again. I bring in 437 each month. I also work doordash, lyft, and instacart is my only source of income. I can live in my car until i can get a place but i have a 11 yr old n 6 yr old. What should i do? Car note is behind $1700. I have a place in another state but i havent paid my rent. So im trying to go get my things from my apartment and move out because i was court ordered to move to another state but supposedly i have support here. My mom doesnt help me at all. Im stuck on what it is i should do? I would go back to my place but i havent been able to pay my probation. Afraid i might go to jail. What are some realistic plans?

Come to California they will pay you well to be a single mom.

@Coppercoil yea....only if she's illegal

First thing to do is reach out to your local agencies who assist low income and especially mothers in poverty for housing assistance. It would also be better for everyone to go to a family shelter than hotel hop.

All the shelters are booked @WhateverWorks

Then I would be reaching out to agencies in the surrounding towns to see what shelter options they have @ChosenOne

Question 1) Are you stuck or do you want to be there? Yes it sounds cruel but it is amazing how many people love their misery. Not saying you do but many people do and for anyone to offer sound advice is pretty much a waste of time if indeed the person wants to be where they are. What say you? Are you stuck or do you want to be there?

Honestly, the best thing to do is reach out to community members you know and friends. Churches can also help. Give them a call and explain your situation. Infrastructure is so so slow. I'm sorry you're struggling.

Go to HUD and get on their list. The kids might make it a priority with them.
