I always tell my guys that they need to make their beneficiary whoever is going to be handling their funeral arrangements. They are typically the same people that are going to be handling your debts after you're gone. It's not fair to them to leave all that money to someone else

Generally it’s your parents or siblings if you don’t have kids. You can change it whenever you like. You can make it whoever you like too so a friend, cousin or even a charity.
