Vizio TV not working? help

had it 8+ years (which could be the problem)

the tv says no signal.

i cannot change the channel with the tv buttons
i cannot change channel with remote.

volume, menu butttons all work...

Could be a damage with the board. Do the channel buttons work on the TV?

Does it switch between signals like HDMI?

@iamnikki Do this. Turn off the TV for a at least 2-3 minutes. Then turn it back on and try.

If that still doesn't work then reset the tv to the factory settings and try again. If it still didn't work, it most likely would be an issue with the mainboard of the TV.

Make sure all the connections/cables are properly attached on both ends. If they are, see if there's a problem with the cable TV box, blu ray player, etc. not working.
If none of these is problematic, it's the TV.

Unplug it for a minute and plug it back in. Check your input to make sure you’re on the right HDMI/or firestick.

This has never happened before. The channel buttons do not work. Not on the tv itself nor the remote. All other buttons work on the tv and the remote...

@iamnikki did you take the batteries out and put them back in? Trying reparing the remote with the cable company again.

@iamnikki Try doing a channel scan. If that don't work try Vizio customer support@ 1 (844) 254-8087.

I've used them several times and were very helpful.
