SatanBurger What is being discussed here is scientism or science falsely so called. And of course the Bible knew that there would be a false version of science, as the Bible is God's word.
In regards to real science, well, the Bible is always ahead of science. Science is always catching up with the Bible.
1. Information in the blood.We all know that just by taking a blood sample, a doctor can evaluate the health issues and conditions of a person. And the discovery of healing through blood transfusions was a game changer. A blood transfusion replenishes lost blood. But long before science discovered about this biological truth, the Bible has already spoken of it.
For 3000 years bloodletting (originated in ancient Egypt) was a popular way doctors treated most sicknesses. From cutting to lychees…the problem was too much blood. Imagine having a common cold and the doctor gets the knife out! Many people died from this horrible treatment method. George Washington, the first President of the United States happen to be one of them.
But according to the Bible, it teaches us that “life is in the blood.” The problem is that science didn’t teach us that until the late 19th century. Now we know blood is vital for life and the blood tells us so much about our health and what is going on in our body. Instead of bloodletting we now do blood transfusions.
"For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." Leviticus 17:11
2. The Bible and Oceanography.2,800 years ago, Matthew Maury, the father of oceanography, noticed the Bible verse Psalm 8:8 describing the paths of the seas. And so he vowed to find those paths that God said in His Word. He then discovered the warm and cold continental currents. His book on oceanography is still used in universities.
And here is another fascinating fact. It wasn’t till the 1970’s that we stopped believing the ocean was only fed by rivers and rain. We finally had strong enough submarines to discover that there were springs on the ocean floor. I’m pretty sure Job didn’t have a submarine….but he did have a divine revelation!
"The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas." Psalm 8:8
But it doesn’t stop there! Apparently, when the prophet Jonah was in the depths of the ocean he saw mountains. It’s been only in modern times that we have discovered seamounts (mountains under the ocean.)
"The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God." Jonah 2:5-6
3. Light waves and radio waves.Long before science discovered that light can be sent and manifest itself in speech in 1864, the Bible had already revealed it. It was the time when God asked Job a very strange question back in 1500 BC saying, "Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are?" Job 38:35
4. Ship Dimensions.In 1993, a South Korean Research Center conducted a scientific study comparing 12 hulls of different shapes to the 1.5 million cubic foot ark Noah built. They discovered that no modern design can outperform Noah’s ark.
"And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits." Genesis 6:15
5. The First Law of Thermodynamics.Nothing is evolving and everything is finished just as the Bible says.
"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them." Genesis 2:1
6. The Bible and Good Hygiene.It wasn’t until the mid-1800’s when a study by Ignaz Semmelweis and Oliver Wendell Holmes was established that hospital-acquired diseases were transmitted via the hands of health care workers. They saw this in the maternity ward when many women were dying because doctors would not wash their hands between examining women and delivering babies.
But God knew the importance of hygiene and even mentions “running water.” Knowing it would wash away the bacteria or other harmful pathogens.
In our modern times washing our hands in water is a normal occurrence because we understand that there is a mircorbial world. But in the days of Moses…only God, Creator of All would know that.
"And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean." Leviticus 15:13
7. The Bible and getting medicine from plantsGod states in His Word that He has given us trees and leaves for medicine.
“And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.” Ezekial 47:12
8. The Bible and the inside of the earth Thousands of years ago, the Bible said that Hell, with fire and brimstone are in the heart of the earth. Well, it took scientists thousands of years after that was written to figure that out through drilling into the earth and they've only gotten roughly 9 miles down.
"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." - Matthew 12:40
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." - Revelation 21:8
9. The earths free float in space Fifteen hundred years before Christ, many people believed that the earth sat on a large animal or giant. However, before science discovered the truth on 1650, the Bible already spoke of the earth free floating in space.
"He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing." - Job 26:7
10. The Circle of the earthIt was the Greek Philosophers who first concluded the earth was round. Eratosthenes, Aristotle, and Pythagoras all wrote about this theory as early as 500 BC. However, many years earlier, the Bible has already revealed about this truth. Because the book of Isaiah was written between 740 and 680 BC.
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: - Isaiah 40:22
