Prison. Less of a chance you'll get shot there.

I did work in big prisons when I was younger. Drama therapy stuff. Your call but I would never, ever walk in to a prison again. What people think it is and what it really is are two entirely different things. Going home after a day in a middle school would be a COMPLETELY different experience than going home after spending a day in a prison.

Prisoners will be easier
@Gumba1000 that’s what I’m thinking
@Gumba1000 dont be crazy

Do the prison...pay and benefits are better and you are well protected. My brother teaches in one and has for 12 years.
the shiv level's about the same, which is less of a commute?
probably quicker to get through school security than prison,
I'l leave out the but.
One is as bad as the other

I think prison would be more rewarding and less dangerous.

I would imagine the maximum security prison would be a better job

@Spleenjugholmy
Good point.
American History - 6th graders
GED - prisoners
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
The prisoners won't give you any trouble, the kids will.
Pretzel · 70-79, M
at least there are armed guards at the prison
eyeno · M
Prison....at least you'll have a captive audience..,

Prison -The inmates are in cells there ,but in MS they are free to walk arounds an attack you.
Ynotisay · M
@Submissiveiendencies They're not in their cells during classes. They take GED so they can get out of their cell and it's pretty essential for parole. They're not there to learn.
@Ynotisay yes, this is what I’m banking on. I don’t expect to teach them much of anything which is the way I need to get my feet wet again and step back into the work force. It’s been a while,. I doubt the warden is going to be asking for grades.

Don’t get me wrong I love teaching I’m a good teacher and I will get back in the actual classroom and inspire, engage and ignite the beautiful minds of America, but I think I want to work at a prison for a spell… I don’t know why but I think I’m gonna see what happens .

Prison…. I can’t go back to middle school… it would kill me.
Something tells me salaries for prison work is a lot higher
I'd choose the prison vacancy. 😂
