@SW-User She was hot and bothered, and she’s allowed to have feelings with me. I was dying to go in the water too. So it was a win-win.

@SW-User It was the last half hour of a 2.5hour outing. The teachers no longer needed the help because other parents were arriving and things were fizzling out. The other kids were fine and happy playing, as far as they knew my kiddo was going home. If I could have taken them all swimming, I would have :)
We hear how helpful ours are at preschool with cleaning up, being polite and what not. Then they get home and it's different

Ive seen that happen on many school trips. I hope you dont mind me asking, but did you actually take her away from her class mates and go snorkling out of view....without the other kids knowing i mean?

@RubySoo Yes! I took her to the next beach over so they wouldn’t see :) I had her tell her friends she was going home. If they knew it would cause a lot of problems for the teachers 😬😬😬

@Raffikilol. Yes it would! Ive been on school trips in the past where parents have bought ice cream for their own kids and let them do stuff the teachers dont let the other kids do......lots of puzzled kids!!!

@RubySoo Yeah that’s not helpful at all 😳😳😳 Luckily the mum who’s kid wanted a different ice cream to the ‘standard’ one didn’t give in and told him that was the only option…

If you’re going to chaperone on a school trip, it’s still a school trip and you have to follow the rules. I wouldn’t want other kids making their parents feel bad for not being able to come and chaperone because they see others getting special treatment 😬😬😬😬
