Years ago i was forced to go to church,i hated it. Aged 9 i told my father that if you make me go to church i'm going to shout out the word 'Bastard' as loud as i can the whole time i'm there. I never had to attend church again!

Tell them where to put their church . I stopped going after a bust up with my dad at 16 . I now have my own religion and life style choice in one and have never looked back .

Never been to a church in my life but from what I see in movies they seem to be cosy & interesting, lol

That's the point, I have been to different christian churches so I know what they can be like. I was lucky because I saw through their brainwashing attempts so got away before they really got their hooks into me.

Being open to different beliefs is fine. I'm interested in various religions and belief systems too. Members of most other (non-christian) religions are happy to explain their beliefs without trying to force them on you. I've had some very interesting and informative discussions with such people.
