I’m so conflicted when it comes to religion

I was touched in the name of god, the person who hurt me was religious and would listen to Christian music when abusing me 🥲🥹
I know there is a god and I believe in Jesus, but I will not be religious.

Religion is not my thing, the youth pastor who taught me about it touched my best friend and I lost conviction... But if it helps there is one thing I've heard that I believe. "To love another person is to see the face of God"

@ForeverOnMyGuard yeah, it sucks and breaks my heart cause I was so young and it happened for so long, but I was scared because if I said something he would get violent and threaten to hurt me if I did say something.

Seek God and being in HIS Presence. Your relationship with GOD is not a religious one, HE is your Father, he wants a relationship with you, not a religious one.

That makes me feel a bit sick. I wish you could be healed from those experiences, the true religion is not bad, only humans that might practice it.
