I thank God, that NOT ONE of us has to gain God's favor before we can be saved, NOR maintain our own SALVATION. We are kept by the grace of God alone.
It makes me sad, when I see anyone believe we must earn salvation or save ourselves from being deprived of God's protection, blessings, and security, once we accept Jesus as Savior:
Dua (Supplication) to seek protection from deprivation of Allah's Blessings and Security
We do not have to say a prayer to protect ourselves from deprivation of God's blessings and security. He never withholds blessings from us. His grace and love, keeps us secure, not us. Romans 8:38 - 39 alone, tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of God...He WANTS to shower us with blessings. He delights in giving us good things.
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of god, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior."
Jesus saved us, NOT by the righteous deeds we have done, but according to His mercy, through the washing away of our sins (New Birth) and renewal/transformation of our lives, by the Holy Spirit. Not because of our works, but by His own purpose and by the grace He granted us in Christ Jesus, before time began. 2 Timothy 1:9
We do not have to earn God's favor or love. Ever! He gives them freely. That is what "God's grace" means: UNEARNED FAVOR FROM GOD. He already loves and accepts us to come to Him as we are. Salvation is a GIFT from God, lest we could boast and say we saved ourselves and that is not possible. We are with sin. Jesus is not. Jesus turns no one away, who asks for salvation.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him (Jesus), shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For Jesus did not come to condemn the world, but through Him, we might be saved. John 3:16 and 17.
There were no "if"s or "maybe"s in those verses.
I know Muslims believe that only Muslims are going to heaven, and not anyone else, because they believe the Quran says so and I have found the verses myself. I have also heard that from Muslims themselves, so they cannot deny this. Whereas, Jesus came to save the whole world, not just some.
