Why do some religions revere The Madonna?

Papa don't preach, she's in vogue.

It comes from the ancient religions which worshiped fertility.. feminism has encouraged woman worship in recent times and so there are more people getting into pagan fertility worship.. The catholic religion madonna worship has been around for centuries it was a refuge for fertility worshipers to engage in fertility worship by worshiping Mary.. But the practice is pagan and not Christian.. Christians only worship God.
