Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end

I ended a friends with benefits relationship today because there stopped being benefits. I know he was going through some personal things but he became closed off, non responsive, and didn’t want to make plans for months. I kind of knew it was over awhile ago but I left it open just in case I wanted to get some at some point.

I didn’t realize that that was blocking me from looking for someone new. It’s like I had the space occupied so I didn’t look any where else.

There is power in ending things. I already feel optimistic that someone better is out there.

Maybe I’ll meet them at my new gym I’m joining on Wednesday. 🤞
