Dating is awful. But it seems the older I get the less douchey the guys are. And I’ve made some really great friends. But …not on apps. I avoid those things and just stay super social - but obviously the social part isn’t for everyone as well 🤷🏻♀️
You’ll find someone. Just be patient. I am a widower and lost my wife over 2 years ago from cancer. I went through some pretty low times when I didn’t think I would find anyone or if anyone would be interested in me. It was 34 years since my first date. Long story short, I met a very nice woman. Is everything perfect? No, we even broke up once. But we’re together now and very happy. You seem like a very nice woman and a fellow Jeep owner. You have a lot to offer and there is someone out there. Try and be patient and believe it will happen.
Dating is too much a hassle anyways. Even if we meet someone "wonderful" their true nature soon surfaces. THEN they start trying to change you, think they can talk to you any ol which way, expect you to have it together even though their life is a wreck...
Plus the painful truth is that at our age if we are single there is usually a reason.
@Jeephikelove For me, my daughter (who is with me 4 nights a fn) and me come as a package deal. If a person wants to accept me they must accept I have a lovely daughter as well. Nearly every 'single women' (excluding the fake ones) can't accept that in my age range. NMP.
I think profiles work best on paid sites. The “hook up” crowd is generally too cheap to pay.
I told a good friend to try local country clubs. Take a golf or tennis lesson. All the men are generally well off so the chances of meeting a bum are less. Have a drink in the clubhouse. Someone will pay attention.
Fish in areas irl where it’s well stocked. Don’t leave things to chance. 😉
This is my mantra but I must still be doing something wrong... 4 yrs in Sep since I left my last ex and over 5 yrs since there was any sex/romance/intimacy going on. I'm over it and really just do what's right for me and my daughter and 99.999999999999 pct of women can't take my job + family situation. Not my problem. I still have a life to lead and a beautiful daughter to take care of. She already asks me why I don't have any adult friends - smart bub of mine.
@Jeephikelove she passed away of a blood clot not long ago. Tragic and there is nothing to say about a 34 year old woman passed away. She died in my arms as I was performing CPR waiting for paramedics.
