Do u believe that Jesus existed here years ago on Earth ? 😇✨

Yes I believe. I believe that a very humble man came here years ago. He had a life as a carpenter. And that he was a martyr. And that He was crucified for our sins. His tomb is also still open today. Comments.

No. Religion is just crowd control
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 Seriously Joe, do you have one publication from Karl Marx where he says religion is crowd control?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Lapochka Crowd control or mind control,?
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@hippyjoe1955 Cleese was taking the piss out of it.. he sure as hell didn't take his inspiration from anything other than his wit.

[c=#4C0073]yeah i believe he walked on earth ..
but i dont believe he was crucified ..
i believe he was taken up on his home planet's ship and whisked away, much like what Enoch describes in his book about other celestial beings.

Yes, all of Enoch's testament was thrown out of the bible, i know, for not complying with the council of nicaea's believes and doctrine.[/c]

@SW-User Not arguing, but some Christians would say you are nuts. That theory is just as valid as any other.

@chrisCA [c=#4C0073]they're free to say whatever they want .. like i said, not here to argue what they or anyone else belief .. move on.[/c]

It's very likely that he existed given the consensus among both modern and ancient historians. The issue is whether or not he was the son of God and performed miracles, and there is no historical evidence to support that claim. And before anyone interjects, the Bible does not count as a historical source. We don't even know who all wrote it or for what exact purpose
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
@hippyjoe1955 You're full of something, alright
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@TinyViolins As are you. Don't push your beliefs and I will leave you alone. Make a jerk of yourself and be treated like one. Your choice.

@hippyjoe1955
Don't push your beliefs and I will leave you alone
Are you that dense? This question literally begins with the words "Do you believe". And I stated my piece. I'm not the one that jumps into other people's comments just to argue with them using spurious facts and self-aggrandizing anecdotes. No one asked to hear about your experiences
SmartKat · 56-60, F
I believe Jesus existed, and that he was a great teacher. I believe he was murdered to get him to shut up - sort of like JFK, RFK, and Martin Luther King, Jr.

I believe the parts of the Bible allegedly said by Jesus are full of love and wisdom.

But personally, I’m still on the fence about whether he was a god or a son of a god. Ever since I got old enough to really understand Good Friday and Easter, I’ve been disturbed by it. Why would God have to go that far in order to forgive humans for not being perfect (when he created humans in the first place)?

Good Friday and Easter creep me out. I just think it’s rather extreme.
MrPerditus1 · 61-69, M
I do believe he existed, I believe he strived for a better place and for people to be better versions of themselves. I also believe he might have been misquoted or misunderstood and was more prophet than anything. Probably crucified to regain control by the Romans. As for everything else? I don't know. I believe everyone has the right to believe what they choose, as long as they don't try to make me believe by overzealous conversations.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@MrPerditus1 Fair answer.
MrPerditus1 · 61-69, M
@Zonuss Thank you kindly. :)
England66 · 61-69, M
No I'm sorry he didn't exist there is no prove what's so ever that he did, the Bible is just made up story's

So its ok for children to suffer, (in his name )

How many terrorist groups or organisations use his name when they take a life

Could go on and on ! There is no prove that he existed
England66 · 61-69, M
@MrPerditus1 But there's no prove about the people in the Bible being real / existed, Just a book of story's
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@England66 We can recreate almost the entire New Testament from copies less than 130 years from the day they were originally written. No other text can match that fact. The Old Testament has been shown to have recorded actual events time and time again by archaeology. Cities, names places once denied are being found in the archaeological record. That you deny it proves your bigotry not you education.
MrPerditus1 · 61-69, M
@England66 So you're saying EVERYONE in the bible books aren't real? Even though there is proof from around the world that most existed from other documents and records that have nothing to do with the bible?

Okay, well as I said, everyone has the right to believe what they choose. I'm not here to convince or convert.
walabby · 61-69, M
I think that the Romans executed a guy named Joshua/Yeshua for sedition in about AD33 and the story got kind of exaggerated over the next few hundred years...
NickiHijab · F
I do. I don't believe he was crucified though but yes he was a great teacher and prophet.
NickiHijab · F
@Zonuss Similar to what rowena mentioned. I don't think it was him who died on that cross.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@NickiHijab He was born of humble parents was baptized by John, He was tempted by satan yet did not sin. He proclaimed the Good News, healed the sick raised the dead, gave sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf. He was tried as a common criminal having been betrayed by one of His chosen. He was crucified and on the Cross gave up His Spirit. He was buried in a tomb and on the third day He took up His life again. He was seen by hundreds after He arose and was seen going up into heaven from where He promised to send the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost and His followers proclaimed His message to the ends of the earth. Indeed He is God the Son.

@hippyjoe1955 👍🏽
RedBaron · M
Where? There is no proof of his existence, much less the immaculate conception and resurrection. It's all a myth.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@RedBaron Says the man who hasn't seen anything. 🙄
RedBaron · M
@Zonuss And how do you know what I have seen or haven't seen? Have YOU seen this mythical character?
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
Fox says he did, so the opposite is more likely to be true!
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Zonuss Forget ALL myths, including Gods!
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Harriet03 ,There are a lot of things you don't know about this world dear. You are so far from it it's not even funny. 🙂
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Zonuss True, but everything I believe in I've got evidence for hun!
That's where we differ. 😁
He was a very real man. He was a carpenter. He was executed for starting shit against the government. The rest isn't true.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
I believe in what you wrote.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Yes.@Zonuss
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@AthrillatheHunt Do you believe in God.🙂
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
I believe there is an architect of the universe and that we are created in its image.@Zonuss
rottenrobi · 56-60, F
That's what I believe too. An open minded, hard worker, who was down for an experience.
Simplified, of course. :)
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
I can't prove otherwise, so why not?
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
I have to study it more.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@GeistInTheMachine Don't you know about it already. 🤔
