have fun with your misguided and wrong belief that emotional expression however is a form of weakness - your boys will be buried in the ground.

before long. suppressing emotions tends to just lead to them exploding,so frankly if my expressiveness is soemthing you hold against me as a form of weakness we'll see who's laughing when I'm still around in 20 years and the Stoics are all dead.
Do all stoics suppress emotions? Is that their thing?
@midnightrose well that's basically what's being foisted down the throat of American society.

They associate the two, whether that is all stoics or not in my country it's all the American variant. so All Americna Stoics, yes. that is their thing.

and I'm amused because I know that this is going to end in tragedy, my stupid society seems to think that my being self expressive is a form of weakness and I'm just coldly laughing at that. Like Yep, I will enjoy this when your supressiveness leads the men you think of as so strong for never airing a peep of it to an early grave.

it doesn't acutally work-we're just pushing it underneath the surface.
@BetweenKittensandRiots Right, yeah that's not healthy. I had learned as a child to keep things held in and it was not a good way to be. Then I went the opposite way and kind of went overboard that direction. I've learned how to control myself better now. I don't hold things in anymore but I am more mindful of how I express myself.
