Have you looked into forensic pathology? You need an MD degree and detective's ability to distinguish the natural from the unnatural. Could be a good fit!

Then pursue what you wish.
All I can say is don’t waste your time with psychology. Lots of study and then high burn out.

Try communicating to your parents through a letter instead of trying to talk. And make them read it while you are away. The advantage is that they will listen to you fully by reading the letter as against interrupting you by admonishing frowning etc and not let you complete what you wish to convey.

Use metaphors like You are asking a fish to climb a tree and not letting it swim . Say that you are not cut up for some subjects that medicine requires and you will eventually fail or lose time.

Do as u wish, not as they wish...it's YOUR future, YOUR life!

It's your life and you're the one that has to live with your choices, not them. Follow your passion and if your parents cant handle it then you cut them out of your life, they're just people after all and you owe them nothing, they chose to conceive you and not the other way around.

@Allelse exactly
