I agree, we must with old the word hate for the really hateful things, evil things. If you use it indiscriminantly, it loses its meaningful impact!

@samueltyler2 Sadly, that's happening to many words nowadays. I have the impression that in English-speaking countries anyway, no-one these days is taught to [i]understand [/i]words, needing a little, basic etymology; beyond immediate, informal conversation.
