Audio books are lovely!

๐Ÿ˜Š I've been listening to them on & off for the past 4 yrs or so. But have recently increased my listening, so convenient to climb into bed at night and where I would usually have a full reading lamp on, now its just the soft glow of the night light , while I get all comfy & listen to the story.

I am listening to two books at the moment Michelle Obama "Becoming Me" which is very convenient because I asked for the book one Christmas but just never found the time to sit down and read it. Its a lovely listen where unlike many of the audio listens Michelle actually reads this book herself, which makes her biography sound as if its being read personally by her to you ..if you know what I mean ๐Ÿ“

My other current listen is " The Child Bride" by Cathy Glass. Cathy is a foster carer and using pseudonyms for the children who have come into her care, she tells their background experiences. having had a long career in child protection I'm always willing an happy ending for the children involved, the narrator for Cathy's books is the very talented voice actor Denica Fairman.

Who is so brilliant at not only telling with warm. She does an array of accents suited to the various Characters which is a separate form of entertainment in its self. One thing I would say because her stories are so emotive, it would be nice to actually hear Cathy read some of them herself. As with Michelle a personal voice completes the picture.

For those on hear who also enjoy audio books or are considering giving them a try, I will pop back on occasion with to share recommendations' and it would be lovely if anyone has any titles they could share ๐ŸŽ
