@firefall Thank you. But no, it doesn't require any courage, not any more. I spent three weeks in May dressed all day, every day, with my nails painted, earrings on. I travelled by car through six countries, passport controls, security, ferry check in, hotels. bars, cafés. If anyone disapproved of what I was doing they kept it to themselves. In fact several passers by complimented me on how I was dressed as I walked in several town centres.

It did take me a long time to make the first move into going out dressed in public. Not sure if it's really courage But it got easier every time. Now the only times I am nervous are when I am near to home or when I have to walk past rowdy groups of young people or all male groups of any age. Not because any have ever caused me any trouble, just because I worry that they might.
@PoetryNEmotion Felt great. I always do when I go out in a skirt, pretty blouse, earrings, 40B bra. I feel taller, I walk with my back straighter and my head held high.
