Back 'home' after charging the car at Washington. Turns out that the chargers are in the car park for the Campanile hotel. Has the same sort of notices as the Holiday Inn except that you don't know they are there until you decide to go to the hotel bar for coffee. So I think a Tesla owner could reasonably claim that they didn't know that they should register. Coffee wasn't up to much either.

However, the reason I am posting about it is that I remembered that I had my new high heels in the car. I hadn't tried walking in them except for the length of the charity shop I bought them in so I thought it would be a good safe place to try; level pavement and a guaranteed place to sit down less than 100 m away. I managed, probably inelegantly, to walk to the hotel bar, have coffee, walk back to the car. There weren't any opportunities to take pictures en route so I took some when I got back to the car.

Enjoyed my walk around Richmond. And I recommend Granny's Kitchen for lunch.

Decided to stop at the Scotch Corner supercharger but it was full. Didn't really need to charge and I could have just gone back to my room in Thornaby. But Durham was not far away and there is another supercharger station in Washington so on a whim I went to Durham and spent a pleasant while just walking about admiring some of the scantily clad girls.

On the way from where I parked I took off my thong as well. The skirt is ankle length so there's no risk of anyone seeing anything.

Forgot to mention that the shoes I started out wearing today which had a bit of a heel turned out to be no good at all. They were slightly loose and I thought I had fixed that by putting heel grips but after only a few steps it was clear that they were not going to stay on my feet. So I switched to my flats put the heels in my bag and as soon as I got to the centre of Richmond I donated them to the first charity shop I came to. And I managed by a stern effort of will to get out of the charity shop without buying anything!

Just watched Tom and Jerry's Cat Concerto. I was interested to learn that Tom actually plays it properly. No wonder it won an Oscar.
