@turbineman40 No! I like to live a quiet life as far as travel is concerned. I just want things to work; i don't ask for great luxury, just functionality. Still could have been worse I suppose. At least I'm in a country where I speak the language and have family to call on for accommodation if necessary, it could be worse if problems occur en route through Europe.
Damn. I was looking forward to strolling around Brighton tomorrow, but my car has developed a serious sounding noise. And when I tried to phone for assistance I found that my mobile is refusing to make outgoing calls! No idea why and no one who might be able to help is available on Sundays.
So I've parked the car and I'll go and buy a cheap Nokia mobile somewhere tomorrow so that at least I can phone people!

@ninalanyon I have been there with vehicle problems and telephone not working. Welcome to the traveling man's life. You will solve your problem but you will have to think about what solutions you have. You are all ready planning ahead. Good for you
