A piece of metal trim on the pavement. [I Notice Weird Things]

I noticed today a piece of metal trim from my side door laying on the pavement. Also the door handle is scuffed and the door wiggles more than it should in place. I think someone is trying to get in. This is not the first time someone has tried. Years ago with the old door there were pry bar marks on one side of the metal frame. That was also the year my garage was broken into.
