Americanisms have steadily crept into everything. My spelling has changed from my youth due to the autocorrect on my phone, organisation to organization etc

Organization is the proper spelling. The origin of the word is Greek and the corresponding Greek ending written in Latin script uses Z. It was only the influence of newspapers who employed semi-literate hacks who couldn't distinguish between words in -ize and words in -ise that drove the change to use -ise for all such words in British English so that they would have consistent spelling.
For a while the Collins dictionary insisted on -ise but I think they have come to their senses now.
