Anyone else find the decision to just consolidate tons of random groups that are barely tangentially connected is going to downgrade the overall
experience?

@lacrossegirl25 I mean I don't mind the old style chat. That tends to break less. You don''t get things like the "person ex is typing" which lasts forever.
But the way it seems to be just mashing together groups that really don't make sense and added me and other to groups at random. It is just bizarre.

I never understood the endless array of groups to begin with. There had to be at least a dozen different ones about humor. Lots of consolidation could be done without downgrading my experience.
I'm not sure anything at all would be lost if all groups were eliminated. I suppose if you believe your posts need to be pigeon holed for some sense of organization they might be helpful. I don't use the site that way.

@bowman81 The groups are kind of the entire point of the site. Doing away with them would be like Instagram going text only.
And I agree there was some duplication from the EP migration but it seems like someone tried to automate the process based on keywords alone so it is a total mess.

It doesn’t make much sense to me but I guess when there is a lot to choose from and few left to do the choosing they want more than one person in a group or it wouldn’t be called a group.

I completely agree but they have to work with what they have now. They use to have a lot more on here until they started improving things. At least that’s my opinion.@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
