@bijouxbroussard I really do know this...it is just that sometimes I wish there was an explanation that meant we could reach at least half of the people and give them the desire to change.

@DrWatson Well. You are the exception to the rule. Many people judge and label and insult and mock those who feel the need to call out others when they are being awful.
I get it all the time.
I noticed someone responded with the laugh emoji to a post here by someone that was serious and filled with her thoughts and feelings and emotions. It bothered me because...what is so damn funny? Nothing was funny about it. It set me off on a tangent.

We all see the would from our own perspective and through our own tinted glasses.
You are strong in the "EQ" sense. You [b] feel[/b] deeply. There is nothing wrong with that, but there are a lot of people who will not understand that.
When faced with something or someone we don't understand, some of us react and reject, others seek understanding. This is true from both sides of the spectrum, but those who react and reject make much more noise.
So people who do not understand your compassion and your feelings, will be split between those who seek to understand you and those who loudly reject you.
Conversely, someone who approaches the world without your compassion and emotion, but rather from a perspective of logic and personal responsibility is often (and loudly) rejected as being heartless and cold by some.
What we need is more ability to temporarily put aside our own perspectives and seek to understand others before forming opinions about them.

When I come across someone with very different views, I always try to seek understanding. I find myself stuck in the middle on many spectrum. I'm too liberal for the Republicans and too conservative for the Democrats. I tend to lead with logical analysis, but my heart floods my head all too often with emotions depending on the circumstances. So I get accused of being too emotional sometimes and of being cold and heartless other times. 🤷♀️

I find that people think when you mention using emotions that somehow that means there is no logic.
Using emotions and logic is balanced decision making process.
If you are making decisions with only one ..you aren't making balanced decisions.
The assumption that emotions being involved somehow makes one incapable of logic at the same time is the ACTUAL issue that I have with this line of thinking.
It is WHY people call those of us with big emotions crazy, unhinged. I get dismissed a lot because people can't seem to grasp this.
If you show emotion ..even when bringing a logical point......good luck because the only thing that is remembered is that you showed emotion. They won't hear the logic or acknowledge it as logical.
