Social media…is it all the same?

I have felt the need to express myself of late but I had forgotten where I could do this. I haven’t used very much social media for the last couple of years. I thought I’d just open up some old accounts and see what was going on and where it takes me(kind of exciting stuff).

Please understand I’m married and I’m not looking for any inappropriateness, just good conversation, laughter and to be a bit daft. (I say this to anyone I talk to and that applies here too.

First stop Facebook.

I’m always talking to people I’ve got a lot of interest, so bright eyed and bushy tailed I log in.

That sparking glow in me twinkles is soon being suffocated by what I discover. It’s very sad but true, I discover that literally everyone that contacted me and spoke to me were trolls or wanting money from me because I was a winner and I just needed to subscribe to them for just $5 registration(what a crock).

It is shameful how many of them are pretending to be in the US Military.
When you are on ops are you really not allowed social media and do you really have to go to Google chat?
I’m not going to entertain telling you how one general tried talking to me!!
If anyone can confirm or put my suspicions to rest please let me know, I’m truly interested as I don’t want to give anyone a bad wrap.

If they are genuine I am more than happy to talk and laugh with them as I know not everyone has someone. Sometimes it’s just the hours they are not on duty and just want some normality (I’m not saying I’m normal by any standards) and conversation. Being in the UK 🇬🇧 I’m 5-7hours in front of you guys in the USA.

When did this happen, how did it happen, and why are they letting it go on?

knew there was trolls out there but I’m really surprised how many are on fb!!

Am I safer back here?
