Do you prefer

the moral viewpoint of consequentialism, which focuses on the consequences of actions, or deontology, which focuses on the innate rightness or wrongness of the actions themselves?

probably the innate rightness because i believe that innately good people do little wrong.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Do people even believe in consequences anymore? 🤔

The ends do not justify the means

Both need to be considered .

A person can do right for the wrong reasons , just as a person can do wrong for the right reasons .

But i suppose i lean towards the butterfly affect.....what will your actions do down the track .

We affect all of those around us. Sometimes we need to consider the fallibility of others into our equation ....and take the fall for the greater good.

The latter. Consequences matter but I care far more about whether or not what I do is right to begin with.
