Do couples give up on intimacy as they get older?

I was reading an article about this in the Daily Fail and it tickled me to read one woman had given up on sex with her husband in preference for a threesome with Ben and Jerry.

As others said - libido plays a huge role for some people. But women often give up on it sooner than men because of their hormones so it's quite true statement that couple tend to reduce their intimacy moments as time passes by
