I’m thinking I’m done with sw

I don’t come here for my mental health to be thrown in my face if I’m angry at something legit.
Anger is a normal emotion get used to it. People get angry sometimes it’s how you communicate that makes you good or bad.
As for the idiot who spoke a whole load of nonsense and pretended like I was crazy you have been blocked.
If there is anything I know it’s my own mind.

Those people are insignificant and their comments are a reflection of their own insecurities and shortcomings. I choose to silently pity them as I pass them by.

@Pinkstarburst Yes and those people are typically not long-term members. Frustrated they arrive, frustrated they will leave a little while later. Ignoring them is only appropriate.

@helenS Yes. When they realize their insecurities will not be fed, they usually move on. I sometimes wonder if some read our posts silently and maybe glean some of the encouragement…just not knowing how to really process it at that moment. Maybe they leave (or stay) with their their hearts quietly contemplating.

I find blocking idiots to be satisfaction enough, personally. If the idiot said something truly toxic, I might remember it for a day or two, and then get over it.

My thinking is, why deprive yourself of a website that can be enjoyable without the idiots?

I understand how you feel. It's supposed to be a place we can come to express actual thoughts and feelings and we can't because everything is a joke to some or because they are incapable of comprehending it they say something stupid instead of just being quiet .

@SW-User Honestly, you can't expect that on the internet. You can't control who comes here. It's just a microcosm of real life. It's entirely up to us to ignore,mute, block and not allow them into our heads and psyche. Those trolls and mean, angry people will always be here.

@SW-User Keep your circle small, and post those thoughts just within your friend’s circle, to hopefully people that care and will be kind. Last thing we need is to be kicked when we are already down, but we do have some tools to help by limiting where the thread goes.

... I have another comment: the number of bad guys on SW is really small. Almost all users are kind and polite people, and (in my opinion) this is especially true for male members. Sometimes I feel we (as female members) are more critical of others than our male friends.

There was a misunderstand and after that I’ve been getting harassed all from similar looking profiles all who happen to be from Australia
So Iv blocked two of the new profiles that posted mean stuff.

It is easy to make sw safe for you with the blocks, reports and mute functions.

People are idiots and it seems that sw has more than its fair share, but it also has some great support

I am here less, I do not let the site control my emotions as it once did. I pick and choose my interactions and stay distant. Makes .y time here much happier
