1958: Bank of America issues the first general-purpose credit card that offered a “revolving credit” feature.
1974: The Fair Credit Opportunity Act
It took 16 years before women were finally granted the legal right to open a credit card in their own name.
It just kinda blows my mind that Women weren't allowed to open a credit card in their own name... and it hasn't even been 50 yards yet since then... and Roe v. Wade happen BEFORE Women we're allowed to get a credit card in their own name.
