Now for the real question 🙂

[c=4C0073]Would you, out of curiosity, or other reasons, on purpose, go into witchcraft or join the satanic church?
Yes i believe satanism has a church, of some sort.

I am genuinely curious.
And if you are not of any faith, and still wont join them, what would be the reason not to? 🤔[/c]
BlueVeins · 22-25
Nah, I think their mission is good; they're pretty much just top-notch trolls messing with religious conservatives. But all the ritualism and fake religiosity would really get under my skin; I know it's just pretend, but religion still bores the shit out of me and kinda gives me the creeps. I might donate to them though.
There is a satanic temple (of which i am a member) but it is and has always been a farce religious group created for the sole purpose of protecting people from and trolling catholics/cristians/ conservatives. "The Mission Of The Satanic Temple Is To Encourage Benevolence And Empathy, Reject Tyrannical Authority, Advocate Practical Common Sense, Oppose Injustice, And Undertake Noble Pursuits."
SW-User
@JamieDeer [c=4C0073]their mission statement sounds kinda noble[/c]
@SW-User i think that's what they were persuing when they wrote it.
NickiHijab · F
I wouldn't join them but I'd visit the church and talk to some practicing satanists, sure.
NickiHijab · F
@Straylight I have a thing for anarchists in general
Straylight · 31-35, F
@NickiHijab I’m always like, “Mmm, tell me more about how the system has failed us and we’re just slaves to the rich.”[image]
@Straylight oh my goodness, Stray. This whole thing made me giggle so hard.
Isthisit · F
No i wouldnt. Those things are pretty serious and hard to back out of if you should ever want to leave.
@Isthisit It opens the door to be tormented.
Isthisit · F
@NoGamesTolerated Thats true
bugeye · 26-30, F
Satanist churches tend to be severely harassed but i have attended one. It was more or less a meeting point for people to discuss religious issues in the community. It was a great support network for local lgbt comunities and had on open ledger for donations indicating how they were used for the local community.
SW-User
@bugeye [c=4C0073]do they worship a satanic deity?[/c]
bugeye · 26-30, F
@SW-User not a literal Satan no. not the way Christians believe in a literal god.

rather it's a character they more or less appropriated or as they put it on their website "Satan to us is a symbol of pride, liberty and individualism, and it serves as an external metaphorical projection of our highest personal potential. We do not believe in Satan as a being or person."

in fact it tends to emphasise the individual over the group(s) and about loving, appreciating and bettering yourself and those you are close to first and foremost.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Well there are lots of reasons not to go. Satan is known as the father of lies so while his 'church' may appear one thing..... However the reason I wouldn't go is because I have no desire to go. I am a Christian. Satan is not good. Why would I set myself towards something that is not good?
I used to be wiccan actually. I'm not anymore because I don't believe in supernatural stuff. But I still really enjoy the religion. It has beautil lore, history and iconography. It is my favorite religion.
Satanism is morally good and it puts a lot of emphasis on the self. I do find one problem with it though. It attracts a lot of rebellious edge lords out to cause trouble. So the good it does tends to get drowned out.
But both are good. The only one you should watch out for is what is called nine angles Satanism. They are a frige group of freaks that believes in human sacrifice. Not even other Satanists want anything to do with them.

@canusernamebemyusername [c=4C0073]thank you for the detailed explanation! .. I like it :)[/c]
Black House (Church of Satan)

(October 2020)
For other uses, see Black House.
The Black House was a building that formerly stood at 6114 California St. in San Francisco, California, in the United States.[1] The house was used by Anton LaVey as the headquarters of his Church of Satan from 1966 until his death in 1997.[1] LaVey conducted Satanic seminars and rituals at the house; one of the most notorious such rituals was the Satanic baptism of his daughter Zeena Schreck in 1967, punctuated by LaVey speaking the words "Hail Zeena! Hail Satan!"[2][3] over the nude body of a female acting as the 'Satanic Altar'.

I`m not joining anything you belong to. You`d have me volunteered for everything. 😏
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@SW-User All of a sudden I feel so used. Are we married? 🤔😅
SW-User
@Degbeme [c=4C0073]yes, by blood :)[/c]

CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Never. I can't stand communities and cults that expect their members to behave certain way, follow rituals and especially obey their leader/authority. Religious or non-religious. Fook them all.
SW-User
Not really not.

I like to be free from all religions and stay somehow agnostic and open but not part of something completely.
Straylight · 31-35, F
I wouldn’t join, but I’d like to see what they do there.
SW-User
@Straylight [c=4C0073]me too, i'm like sooo curious, my imagination just runs wild imagining all sorts of things which i know probably would be far from the reality of it 😅[/c]
Straylight · 31-35, F
@SW-User I have some Wiccan friends. I could ask them what they do. I’m a pagan, just not those kinds.
SW-User
@Straylight [c=4C0073]that would be cool, thank ya![/c]
I think their imagery is cool, but I don't believe in any sort of superstition.
Nanori · F
No, I'm not curious about that I know what I need to know
Entheesa · 31-35, F
Cult-mentality I guess, I think what draws them in might not even be far from what draws people to believe in your religion. I'm not trying to be disrespectful at all, but since you ask, that's my thoughts. Tell me your own perspective if you differ from how I see it happening. =)
SW-User
@Entheesa [c=4C0073]i do not practice any religion :) [/c]
Entheesa · 31-35, F
@SW-User Ahh, well same... I find it kinda interesting too. I actually think it's pretty wild in a sense, especially if a strong believer didn't grow up with those beliefs.
Because like God Satan is made up.
Peaceandnamaste · 26-30, F
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether What do you think of Native American spirituality? I’m Native American.
@hippyjoe1955 Just chill man you believe and I don't and I respect you. I'm simply giving my opinion. Have a nice day.
@Peaceandnamaste It's very interesting and I like your relationship with wolves.
CharlesRomsey · 61-69, M
No. I don't believe my death means the end of my spirit, or soul if you prefer. I don't understand why people would worship a deity that only promises gifts in this life rather than eternity.

SW-User
@SW-User interesting, I'll check it out. Recently was reading about it and mostly was created as a form of rebellion to hypocrecy supposed good Christianity.
Very interesting topic.
SW-User
@SW-User I thought it was interesting too
It’s not for me. I’m Catholic and prefer just to worship how I worship. I don’t judge, though. If their way gives them comfort and harms none, so be it. 🖤
SW-User
Ah but in a way I'm part of witchcraft, or some consider it, not entirely but yeah.
SW-User
@SW-User [c=4C0073]i am intrigued .. would you care to elaborate? It's okay if not too [/c]
SW-User
@SW-User lots of people consider tarot part of witchcraft. I'm a tarot reader. 🧙‍♀️.

@SW-User [c=4C0073]nice! very interesting .. i'd like to some day learn this![/c]
I don't believe in joining any place of worship.

If I ever pray it's going to be at home.
I dun believe in anything at all.

No reason to join a group 🤷‍♂️
I am too stupid to even think. Let alone asking.

Witchcraft/paganism/ Wicca is not the satanic church

And yes. I have been reading about it a lot and have lightly practiced paganism previously.
SW-User
@JaggedLittlePill [c=4C0073]i have realized that after making this post, and some people explained it :D .. Love learning new things![/c]
SW-User
No. It's almost certainly a total waste of time.

On the off chance that I'm wrong about that; I still wouldn't go near it because it doesn't seem like something I wanna fuck with.
