My problem is( and no monarch has died in my lifetime) is that when the inevitable happens it will be like being plunged into another lockdown.
All TV and radio stations will stop broadcasting normal programmes,there will only be solemn music played until after the funeral and events will be cancelled during national Mourning.
And those of us who speak out about that will be shot down in flames...even by those who might agree with us..
We don’t mourn people we don’t know.But because she is the Queen the whole country will be expected to.No thanks.
And then we’ll all be expected to celebrate the Coronation of Charles and here in Wales we’ll have the Investiture of the new Prince of Wales....oh dear!

It was bad enough when Diana died.
I turned on the radio on Sunday morning and thought ‘what is going on?’
Tried other stations..all the same.
I started thinking the Queen had died....
but it wasn’t her.
People just haven’t a clue what it is going to be like.

The Queen has just refused to accept’ ‘The Oldie of the year Award’.
Yes..there is one.
Because ‘she doesn’t feel old’.

@SW-User If he's unable to get her on the throne, it could be what ultimately forces him to abdicate.

He's not going to get her on the throne without a fight and protests, though - so it's anyone's guess as to if he will reign or not... and that's without looking at his age and ability reign.

I think they will let her take the throne. They seem to have forgiven her and Charles anyway. It would be a shame if that happens though because she is the reason Diana got destroyed. If is wasn’t for her then Charles would have stayed with Diana. @HootyTheNightOwl

@ButterRobot Yeah, that's sad really... but it is her wishes to continue for as long as she is medically able to, so we have to respect her wishes.

@KiwiBird yeah....we’ll get Charles first born as the new Prince of Wales but we’ll never have our own cricket team like Scotland and Ireland.Glamorgan are as close as we’ll get.
A couple of years back i explained to Marnus Labuschagnes wife why there wasn’t a Welsh cricket team...she did ask.I think she wished she hadn’t!
But I watched the England and Wales cricket team stuff NZ in a T20 warm up the other day.
