Why New York state is suing Trump instead of charging him with crimes

Because he hasn't committed any crimes. When this D-Bag was elected she ran on the promise of "criminally prosecuting" Trump. ALL her donors were drooling. She waited till re-election time to trot out this lead balloon of "suing" Trump.

Even suing him will not succeed, because the banks did not suffer and ALL of the banks have been repaid, and the banks themselves are in charge of investigating property valuations for loans.

The fact that they keep trying for all these years says more about them than about Trump. Likewise the fact that zilch had been done about the Bidens also says much. This is just the first set of charges from the NY AG in the civil matter. As a point of fact, the lawsuit is based on crimes being committed in the false valuation of properties over a lengthy period of time, which constitutes both tax and bank fraud. Criminal charges have been referred to the Southern District of New York and the IRS. Future criminal charges on the tax and bank fraud will come from them. This is far from over. It has just started.
