As big a prat as Trump was/is, not ONE of those front row Republicans made any attempt to dissuade nor stop either Trump nor the demonstrators.
And that kinda makes it a Republican problem too !
It's all very well trying to tie a charge of attempted insurrection or whatever they intend to call it, around Trump's neck in the hope that kills the issue and the Republican party 'survives'. But people aren't stupid !
In saying and doing nothing prior to the event they are equally as complicit.

@Picklebobble2 didn’t Pence finally do his duty in certifying the election? Wasn’t that why the rioters wanted to hang him?
My problem with all sane republicans, and especially McConnell, was in not simply telling rank and file trump supporters that the election was fair and fairly convincingly lost. The carven pandering to the trump base is one of the most disgusting things I have witnessed in politics.
